ANGELINA JOLIE OPENS UP — "I HAVEN'T DATED IN A DECADE" SINCE BRAD PITT DIVORCE

 

Angelina Jolie just gave fans one of her most honest interviews in years and the revelation has the internet talking. The Hollywood icon has confirmed something many had quietly suspected — she has not dated anyone since her split from Brad Pitt a decade ago.

The Confession

Speaking with Yahoo Entertainment in an interview published this week, Jolie did not hold back. She admitted that romance has simply not been on her radar since her divorce began in 2016.

She explained that she finds herself mentally separating that part of her life from who she is when she is focused on her children and her family. For Jolie, motherhood has completely taken priority over dating for the better part of ten years.

A Decade Of Single Motherhood

Jolie, 51, shares six children with Pitt — Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17. Their divorce battle dragged on for eight long years before finally being finalised in December 2024.

Throughout that entire period Jolie has reportedly remained single, choosing to pour her energy into raising her children rather than pursuing a new relationship.

Why Now She Is Opening Up

Jolie's honesty comes as she promotes her new film Couture, where she plays a filmmaker confronting a breast cancer diagnosis. The role clearly struck a personal chord for her.

She reflected on how the character taught her that a woman can be completely devoted to her children while also allowing herself to be loved and to receive love as a woman. It is a lesson she admits she is only now beginning to apply to her own life.

Ready To Live Again

With her twins Knox and Vivienne turning 18 in July 2026, Jolie says something is shifting inside her. She described it as needing to live again, to be free again, while acknowledging that life has broken her down a little over the years.

Her children, now mostly adults, are reportedly the ones encouraging her to get out, travel and rediscover herself. She has said her kids know her better than anyone and they still like who she is — something she finds deeply meaningful.

What About Brad Pitt?

While Jolie has remained single, her ex husband Brad Pitt, 62, has been in a relationship with jewellery designer Ines de Ramon for four years. The contrast between their post divorce paths has not gone unnoticed by fans.
